Shahum Ajmal, Senior Community Manager, Decoded Futures

Shahum Ajmal began his career driving operations and organizational growth across New York City’s public charter school sector. Working across KIPP NYC Public Schools, Zeta Charter Schools, and Success Academy Charter Schools, he partnered with executive leadership to execute key strategic initiatives, streamline cross-functional operations, and support organizational scaling.

As the Senior Community Manager of Decoded Futures at Tech:NYC, he leads community engagement, working across participants, alumni, technologist volunteers, member companies, and partner organizations to scale AI adoption across New York’s social sector. 

Shahum holds a Master’s in Public Affairs from Brown University, along with a B.A. in Political Science and English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh.
