Matt Henning, Director of Government Affairs

Matt Henning is the Director of Government Affairs at Tech:NYC, working to ensure that Tech:NYC and its members have a seat at the table in Albany. 

Prior to joining Tech:NYC, Matt spent eight years at the New York State Assembly. Over those years Matt served in various constituent services and policy roles, ending his time at the Assembly as Assistant Secretary to Program and Policy. During his time at the Assembly, Matt worked on many significant pieces of tech and AI related legislation, including the RAISE Act, SAFE For Kids Act, Children's Data Privacy Act, and many more. 

Matt received his bachelor's degree in Political Science from SUNY Plattsburgh, and is currently a proud resident of Albany, New York.
