Margaret Turner, Press Secretary

Margaret Turner serves as Press Secretary at Tech:NYC, a leading voice for New York’s rapidly growing technology sector. She spearheads media relations, press strategy, and external communications that amplify the industry’s impact across New York City.

Margaret brings extensive government media expertise from her tenure on New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ communications team, where she held multiple roles as Deputy Director and Acting Director of Research and Spokesperson for the Mayor. There, she managed press response and crafted research that helped shape the administration’s policy narratives.

Prior to her public service, Margaret honed her communications expertise in Washington, D.C. at Haddad Media, a premier production and media consulting firm operating at the intersection of politics, technology, and entertainment. 

A Washington, D.C. native, Margaret earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from Tulane University.
