Technology has greatly impacted New York City’s economic well-being. So we’re happy to see the Mayor and his administration propose new ideas for further growing the tech community in NYC.

Tech:NYC and several of our members visited the New York State Capitol on Tuesday to talk to policymakers during our first edition of the Albany Policy Labs.

To address modern concerns about digital privacy, both the New York Assembly and Senate have introduced nearly identical bills to require law enforcement to obtain a warrant before accessing someone’s private electronic data.

The FCC recently announced plans to roll back net neutrality protections that were implemented in 2015. As stated in its notice of proposed rulemaking, the FCC intends to “restore internet freedom for all Americans" by giving Internet Service Providers (ISPs) less oversight.
