Jimmy Chen is the founder and CEO of Propel, creators of the award-winning Providers app, used by over 5 million low-income households to manage their government benefits and money. Providers is among the most widely used apps built specifically for the needs of low-income Americans. Its users have saved tens of millions of dollars on regular bills and bank fees, applied for over a million jobs, and received hundreds of millions of dollars in cash grants. Providers has over 500,000 five-star reviews and has been recognized by the White House.

In addition to his work at Propel, Jimmy serves on the Board of Directors of Share Our Strength, a national anti-hunger nonprofit. He also serves as the Vice Chair of Technology for the EBT Community Council, an industry trade group focused on government payments. Jimmy holds a B.S. in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University, where he was an inaugural winner of the President's Award for the Advancement of the Common Good.
