Alex Demoly

Alex is the Deputy Director of Policy at Tech:NYC, where he drives the organization’s policy agenda at the city and state levels. A native of Albany, New York, he brings hands-on experience at the intersection of business and government.

Prior to Tech:NYC, Alex served as Vice President of the Greater Burlington Industrial Corporation, where he advanced policy and economic development initiatives in partnership with Vermont’s Congressional Delegation, Governor’s Office, State Legislature, municipalities, large corporations, and startup companies. Alex has helped design and pass legislation and programming across a range of industries and applications, including land use, energy, taxation, infrastructure, and social services.

Alex has served on several boards and volunteers as a youth mentor. He was named to Vermont Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40 list and has been recognized in other publications. Alex is a graduate of Middlebury College, where he double majored in mathematics and political science. When he’s not working, you can find Alex reading, running, or cycling.
