TECH: NYC is built on the back of growth and diversity

Tech:NYC is built on the backs of companies and investors who love their city and support its growth as an inclusive and diverse technology hub. Our goal is to encourage everyone in tech to participate in our democracy and to stand up for the ideals that make tech a force for good in the world. In that spirit, we share this forum for providing resources and tools to support the values fundamental to our community and its future.

Tech:NYC’s Leadership Council helps to identify worthwhile opportunities and organizations to give time, money, and resources to. A committee of the Leadership Council solicits recommendations from our community and helps identify aligned opportunities on an ongoing basis.

  • International Rescue Committee NY, International Refugee Committee New York operates under a public-private partnership. As a resettlement agency, the funding they receive from the government is a per-capita stipend. As a result of recent policies and a decrease in refugees being resettled, IRC New York is facing a $75,000 deficit. These funds are used to support newly arrived families' basic necessities, while also providing ongoing support around health, ESL instruction, economic empowerment and more.
