Jonathan Salama is the CTO and co-founder of Transfix, a tech-enabled truckload brokerage, or trucking exchange, based in New York City. He is a native of France and got his degree in computer engineering in the U.S. One of Gilt’s first employees, Salama was responsible for developing the company’s infrastructure from the ground up and served as a lead software engineer. He then went to join the on-demand startup, Cherry, as the first engineer and developed the platform that Lyft acquired.
Jonathan is a serial entrepreneur and has repeatedly built successful tech companies. He is passionate about the ideation and building of high-impact solutions for communities at scale. Jonathan believes it starts with deeply understanding the needs and pain-points of the user and quickly prototyping to get to the right answer and experience. Jonathan is on the Leadership Council of Tech:NYC and an active leader of building NYC’s tech ecosystem.
