As the Chief Strategy Officer at SAP, Deepak Krishnamurthy leads SAP’s global corporate and innovation strategy and oversees it’s Customer and Market Insights function. Deepak is responsible for SAP’s open innovation initiative with SAP.iO, focused on venture investments and the acceleration of early stage startups through a network of accelerators in San Francisco, NYC, Berlin, Paris, and Tel Aviv. As a part of the open innovation initiative, he also oversees SAP’s B2B payments and financing business unit. In addition to driving strategic impact with the startup ecosystem, he leads SAP’s inclusive entrepreneurship initiatives aimed at empowering women and diverse founders to scale faster in the B2B software space.
As SAP’s Strategy Officer to the World Economic Forum (WEF), he leads SAP’s engagement with the WEF’s Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in San Francisco and is a member of the Board of Digital Europe for the WEF to help foster startup innovation and job creation in Europe. He also serves in the WEF’s Global Future Council for Digital Economy and Society for driving social impact. Deepak was recently a David Rockefeller fellow for the Partnership for New York City focused on public-private partnerships to promote economic growth and innovation in New York City.
Prior to SAP, Deepak was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company and has held multiple leadership roles at Cognizant Technology Solutions, including business development in North America for the Business Analytics practice. Deepak holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management.
