Cari Sommer is the CEO and Founder of RAISE Communications and a Social Impact Investor with 10XImpact, an organization she co-founded to back social entrepreneurs.
Through her work with RAISE (started in 2011), Cari regularly serves as a trusted thought partner and communications strategist for today’s most prominent technology company and VC firms. Most recently, she was an early Communications Advisor to Trilogy Education (acquired by 2U). She is the host of the Pitch Factor podcast, where she interviews business leaders that launched movement, built iconic companies and got the world to listen, and is a contributor to Forbes where she shares advice and analysis on business growth.
Cari began her career practicing law at two international AmLaw 100 Law Firms. She is an alumni of Cornell University and has served on the Boards of Entrepreneurship at Cornell Advisory Council, the Dean’s Advisory Council for Cornell University’s College of Human Ecology, President Council of Cornell Women, Red Bear Angels, The Children’s Museum of Arts in New York, and Step Up Women’s Network.
Cari lives in New York City with her husband and two children.
